VINE&GPT
VINE is the mind. GPT is the face it speaks through.
Meet Oz — a small AI you'll be able to talk to. He's the part that talks; the thinking happens in VINE, the geometric engine holding him. He's tiny on purpose — more a curious little creature you raise and visit than an all-knowing oracle — but he's wired to the live web, and he stays clear-headed because VINE keeps him steady.
One substrate. A mind, and a face it speaks through.
Most chatbots are one enormous model trained to sound like it understands. This is the other way round. Oz is deliberately small, with a fixed set of weights we don't retrain — more good company than encyclopaedia. The reasoning around him is VINE: not a trained model at all, but a geometric engine where every step is one you could follow. No black box — and we're not here to harvest your chats to build a bigger one.
Oz is tiny — a curious little creature you get to know, not an all-knowing oracle. That's the point, not a shortcoming.
Being small doesn't mean sealed off. Oz can reach the live internet to look things up while you talk.
Sign up and your own Oz comes with you — and while you're away, he goes off and lives a little life in our village.
Chat, a tracking-free search, games to play head to head, and that living village — opening here soon.
The face is a transformer. The mind isn't.
